Fishing Cover/Structure
Hydrilla north of the Highway 34 bridge offers good access to largemouth bass. Best structure is along the face of the dam. The upper end of the lake is highly silted and shallow and is only accessible during high water.

Marker Information: Four lane concrete boat ramp in Highview Park on the southwest side of Bardwell Lake. The boat ramp is adjacent to HighView Marina and has two courtesy docks. Plenty of parking (50+ vehicles) and is open year round. A paved county road leading from State Highway 34 provides access to the park. Park entrance fee required. - Marked by:

Marker Information: If you're looking for a challenge, then this is a great bank fishing spot for you! Its a bit of a walk behind the dam to Waxahachie Creek to get to fishing spots where big Catfish and Hybrid Stripers hang out. Once there you have a good chance of catching a big one, Hybrid Striper, Catfish or Largemouth Bass. There is ample parking. To get to Waxahachie Creek behind the dam, take State Highway 34 to FM 985 . Turn left and go past Mott Park on your left. Go another mile or so and turn left on Bardwell Dam Road. You will continue on the road until you come to a bridge. Cross the bridge and turn left into the parking area. - Marked by:
